Soft Launching of Indonesia Sustainable Energy Week (ISEW) 2024 

United Towards a Sustainable FutuRE: Advancing the Energy Transition for Indonesia Emas and Net Zero Emissions

Sahid Junaidi, Secretary of the Directorate General of New, Renewable Energy, and Energy Conservation of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), accompanied by Taufiq Hidayat Putra, Director of Electricity, Telecommunications, and Informatics of the Ministry of National Development Planning (Bappenas), and Lisa Tinschert, Director of the Energy Programme at GIZ Indonesia/ASEAN, during the launch of Indonesia Sustainable Energy Week (ISEW) 2024.

Jakarta, 26 August 2024 – The Ministry of National Development Planning/ Bappenas and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR) in collaboration with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, Institute for Essential Services Reform within the consortium of Clean, Affordable and Secure Energy for Southeast Asia (CASE for SEA) and other German-funded implementing organizations, are pleased to announce the launch of Indonesia Sustainable Energy Week (ISEW) 2024. This landmark event will take place from September 10th to 13th, 2024 in Jakarta.

ISEW 2024 will serve as a crucial platform for high-level dialogues between the Indonesian and German governments, to foster a global and national energy transition. The event will also bridge the gap between policymakers and the public, including civil society, academia, youth groups, and other non-energy stakeholders to discuss and bring together energy transition topic as a multi-stakeholder’s approach. Additionally, ISEW 2024 aims to enhance awareness of viable technology, policy, and business solutions for Indonesia’s energy transition among the public and private sectors and communities. This agenda will also showcase the amazing energy cooperation with the Government of Indonesia, embracing the Indonesia Vision 2045 (Indonesia Emas).

ISEW 2024 will feature a diverse range of sessions and activities, including keynote speeches, panel discussions, workshops, and exhibitions. The event will cover a wide array of topics related to sustainable energy, including renewable energy integration, energy efficiency, sustainable finance, and just energy transition.
